Best Toy Store in Bellingham

Yeagers’ Toyland has been an influential part of Bellingham’s history for many children and many generations as Whatcom County’s largest specialty toy store. It is of utmost importance to us that everything we stock is engaging, unique, and above all, safe. All items in Toyland have a Certificate of Conformity which meets or exceeds the recently updated toy safety code.

While one guest will tell us they’ve been coming to this toy store since they were a kid, the next might say they had no idea there was even a toy store here. Whatever the case, it is our hope that whoever walks down those stairs into Toyland has that fantastic and uplifting experience of seeing a place full to bursting with great toys and wonderful memories.

The variety of toys and games you can find in Toyland ranges from the old fashioned tin wind-up toys and snuggly stuffed animals to the ever popular Lego and Playmobil building sets and everything in between. We do our best to showcase items that can’t be found in the usual big box stores and try to keep our stock as fresh and exciting as we can. The friendly, upbeat staff members will be ecstatic to tell you all about how a new game plays or how an unfamiliar toy works, and we will be happy to help you pick out the perfect, age appropriate gift. There’s likely to be something here that even the toughest to please kids are sure to love. We also offer giftwrapping for those last-minute presents.

Our department is riddled with interactive playsets and demo items to give all comers an idea of what we have in store. The Thomas the Tank Engine table is a huge hit with the younger crowd, while even grown-ups can’t resist the allure of the self-propelled Plasma car. Our goal is to try to keep old fashioned, healthy play alive with lots of classic and hands-on toys that inspire creativity and are just plain fun. We want to encourage your children’s natural curiosity and sense of discovery, allowing them to create and use their own imagination for hours of entertainment.

Meet Vicki Adelstein

If you asked Vicki Adelstein about her position at Yeagers, she would tell you without hesitation that this has been the best job she’s had in her entire life. The weight of this statement really comes into perspective when it comes from someone with 42 years of retail management experience, and Vicki’s experience and passion has made an incredible impact on what Yeagers’ Toyland and Kitchen Korner have become today. After the closure of Fountain Toys, Vicki came back to Yeagers and took the entire downstairs under her wing. Remodeling the basement, bringing in a whole swath of new products, and breathing renewed life into these departments, it was her goal to bring the best of both worlds together to create what is now the largest specialty toystore in Whatcom County. Vicki takes her responsibilities seriously, and loves the opportunity to provide guests with nothing but the best housewares and toys. She can often be found discussing products with customers, asking their opinions on what they’d like to see in the store or what they think about things they’ve purchased, doing her best to tailor fit her departments to the needs of the community.
